The Dawn of the Blackwatch
The Blackwater Watch is a black, stone tower located on the northern tip of the proper. Made completely out of obsidian blocks, it rises 100’into the air and is visible for miles particularly at dusk or dawn when the sun glistens off the polished stone. Although it is not a lighthouse, this visibility does make it a regularly used reference point for ships. Like The Proper, no one is sure how long the tower has stood here but it out dates any written history. The main purpose of the Blackwater watch is to guard the entrance to Blessing Bay. This is done by controlling the “Scutter Chain” The four men who man the tower are known as the Black Guard.
